Moderator - Barb Goldworm, President and Chief Analyst, FOCUS  Barb Goldworm is founder, president, and chief analyst of FOCUS, a research, analyst, and consulting firm focused on transformational technologies in virtualization, cloud computing, systems and storage. In addition to serving as Virtualization Track Chair for Interop, she also leads the Enterprise Cloud Summit Private Cloud and Desktop Transformation Workshops, as well as the Private Cloud Track and Workshop for CloudConnect. Barb has spent 30 years in various senior management, engineering, marketing, sales, and industry analyst positions with IBM, StorageTek, Novell, Enterprise Management Associates and multiple successful startups.
A keynote speaker at hundreds of virtualization, cloud, datacenter and storage events, she has also been one of the top three rated speakers at Data Center Decisions and Storage Networking World. She also chaired the original Interop Storage Networking Track, and the Blade Systems Insight and Server Blade Summit events.
Barb has published extensively since the 1990s, writing regular expert columns for Network World, ComputerWorld, Tech Target and others, authoring hundreds of business and technical white papers, market research reports, user surveys, and articles, as well as the Wiley book"Blade Servers and Virtualization: Transforming Enterprise Computing While Cutting Costs" available on Amazon.
Barb started with virtualization on mainframes in the 1970s, delivered the industry’s first PC Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) Solution in the late 1980s, was a SAN thought leader in the 1990s, a blades and virtualization thought leader and book author in the 2000s, and now focuses on cloud, datacenter and desktop transformation. Panelist - Jared Wray, Founder and CTO, Tier 3  Jared Wray is founder and CTO of Tier 3. Jared founded Tier 3 in 2006 and today is the visionary architect of the company's enterprise-class cloud management platform. To enable customers moving to IT as a Service, Jared has architected Tier 3’s cloud with advanced automation, orchestration, and fabric services. As the originator of the Iron Foundry open source PaaS project, Wray is a thought leader in the evolution of enterprise cloud services. A serial entrepreneur, Wray previously founded Dual, an interactive development firm with clients such as Microsoft and Nintendo. Panelist - Marc Jones, VP of Product Innovation, SoftLayer  Marc Jones serves as Vice President of Product Innovation for SoftLayer. In this role, he is responsible for identifying, facilitating and evangelizing new product and service development – including R&D, software development and system development. As an accomplished technology executive, he previously served as director of software product development with Rackspace Cloud (formerly Mosso), the cloud division of Rackspace. He was a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and managing the company’s cloud computing product strategy and roadmap, architecture and engineering, business analysis and requirements, along with software product development. Prior to his tenure with Rackspace, he was senior director for system architecture with Broadwing Communications. Mr. Jones holds a BBA in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. Panelist - Toby Owen, Product Leader, Rackspace  Toby Owen is the Product Leader for Hybrid Cloud and Cloud Networking at Rackspace Hosting. Currently, Toby is responsible for RackConnect and the Hybrid Cloud Solutions portfolio, overseeing development, operations, marketing, and product management. Toby has been in the IT industry for over 15 years. He has held technical, product, and leadership roles in operations, support, and development. Prior to joining Rackspace he led the Web Services team for Wells Fargo, with responsibility for internet banking infrastructure, security and support. He holds a bachelors of science in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA from the University of Texas. Panelist - Florent Saint-Clair, Vice President, Corporate Development & National Accounts Executive, General Manager, DR Systems, eMix  Florent Saint-Clair serves as Vice President, Corporate Development & National Accounts Executive for DR Systems, and General Manager for eMix, a Healthcare Cloud services platform incubated by DR Systems. A serial entrepreneur, Florent has held senior leadership positions in Healthcare IT Enterprise Interoperability, Medical Imaging and Informatics since 1997.
As GM for the eMix Cloud division of DR Systems, Florent grew the platform’s customer base from its initial launch in 2009 to 500+ hospitals in less than 24 months. As VP Corporate Development, Florent is responsible for managing DR Systems’ IDN and National Accounts customer relations in the US and developing global markets opportunities.
He joined DR Systems in 2008 to lead the company’s Department of Defense Healthcare business unit. He previously served as President & COO for RadVault, a Bay Area-based RIS/PACS company, and as Venture Partner at Nucleus Partners a Venture Capital and Consultancy group in Palo Alto, CA. Florent has raised private equity capital for several Bay Area tech startups, and has developed markets in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia.
