Juan Paul is Vice President of Engineering at Shopzilla, having successfully lead or played a substantial role in the delivery of virtually every software application in the company, including the large scale affiliate program, and initial launch of the company’s latest products, beso and TaDa.
Earlier in his career, Juan Paul was the quintessential face of the DevOps role. Highlighting the need for software configuration management in the mid-90′s, blossoming internet economy allowed Juan Paul to bring Experian‘s credit reporting software quality into a modern age, create the successful initial public launch of the leading commercial real estate site in the country, Loopnet.com, and allow for Gateway to reposition it’s internet presence for PC sales. Juan Paul’s sites, and he speaks of them with great pride and ownership, account for millions of active visitors per day with nary a technical commonality except for a penchant for automation and unworldly quality standards.
Juan Paul holds a degree in Management Information Systems and Corporate Law and Public Policy from Syracuse University.
