While cloud computing is transforming every corner of IT, some of the most dramatic changes it's produced have been in the world of startups and new ventures. Because clouds offer pay-as-you-go economics and encourage experimentation, they make it easy for nascent companies to build applications quickly without taking on a lot of investment. What's more, they break down barriers to entry, offering even small players access to huge computational resources for work like genomics, structural analysis, and financial modeling. In this session, we'll hear from startups that have leveraged cloud platforms to get to market quickly and efficiently.
