For 15+ years, Paul Walsh has helped businesses, investors and analysts to leverage weather and climate intelligence to increase sales and maximize profits, including Walmart, The Home Depot, Citibank and numerous hedge funds. Previously, Walsh held senior strategy roles at Atmospheric and Environmental Research, Storm Exchange, and Planalytics. As U.S. Air Force meteorologist, Walsh provided intelligence support for missions and served as chief of weather operations for the Army’s elite 101st Airborne during Desert Storm.

 
Ric Telford

Ric Telford's professional business career highlights 30 years of product and service development experience and is noted for bringing innovative approaches to the design and development of key technologies. During his tenure at IBM, Telford has played a number of key roles in various software and service initiatives for IBM, including Cloud computing, Data Center infrastructure services, Networking and Security software, Systems Management software, and Office Systems.

Ric tends to be at the forefront of emerging technologies at IBM. He served as Director of Technology for the IBM CIO, responsible for the development, implementation and adoption of technologies that hastened the transformation of IBM into an e-business. Ric was the Director of Technology for Intelligent Infrastructure, the precursor in IBM to Cloud Computing. Ric went on to become VP of Autonomic Computing, where he was responsible for defining and driving the Autonomic Computing initiative for IBM. In this capacity, Ric worked across IBM, as well as the industry and academia, to promote the adoption of open-standards based self-managing technologies. In his prior role as VP of IT Optimization, Ric was responsible for defining complete IBM solutions for customers looking to transform their IT infrastructure. Leveraging IBM's vast software, hardware and services assets, the IT Optimization business unit provides offerings focused on such transformation topics such as Cloud Computing, Consolidation/Virtualization, Energy Efficient Data Center and Service Management.

In his current position, Ric is responsible for defining and coordinating delivery of IBM's broad portfolio of Cloud services. IBM has a clear vision for what is required to make Cloud Computing accessible and valuable to the enterprise, and provides Cloud consulting, Cloud implementation and Public Cloud services to deliver on this vision.

Ric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Ric resides in Morrisville, NC and enjoys golf, swimming and biking.

Jean-Sebastien Bruneau is Cloud Architect at OVH.com. Based in Canada, he joined the team not long after OVH.com open their first North American Datacenter and has been working his “Cloud-Fu” since. He divides his time evangelising, facilitating customers’ onboarding and leading the internal cloud training program. Before this, he spent 10 years working in the telecommunication industry supporting the deployment of highly available mission critical enterprises applications for the private and public sector.

Vice President & CISO | Everest Group

Jimit Arora leads Everest Group's IT Services research practice, which is focused on conducting in-depth research on the full spectrum of technology services across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and next-generation IT. Jimit is also responsible for Everest Group’s vertical-specific research practices that are focused on Banking, Financial Services, & Insurance (BFSI) and Healthcare Outsourcing.

Jimit manages a team of analysts dedicated towards serving clients (primarily Fortune 500 companies) on a variety of issues related to their IT services programs through a combination of published research and custom decision-support engagements. Jimit has significant expertise working with financial services and healthcare enterprises on issues such as sourcing strategy, service provider selection, portfolio optimization, global delivery locations, and risk management. He also works with a number of service providers and investors on issues such as growth and go-to-market strategies, account expansion, acquisition target analyses, and competitive positioning analyses.

Prior to joining Everest Group in 2005, Jimit managed client implementations at GlobeOp Financial Services, a hedge fund administration company. Prior to that, Jimit provided business development support to a Detroit-based IT services start-up. He holds a Masters in Management Studies and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani.

He has also worked as a product manager for 3Com Corporation, Primary Access, and Eicon Technology.

 
Marc Jones

Marc Jones serves as Vice President of Product Innovation for SoftLayer. In this role, he is responsible for identifying, facilitating and evangelizing new product and service development – including R&D, software development and system development. As an accomplished technology executive, he previously served as director of software product development with Rackspace Cloud (formerly Mosso), the cloud division of Rackspace. He was a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and managing the company’s cloud computing product strategy and roadmap, architecture and engineering, business analysis and requirements, along with software product development. Prior to his tenure with Rackspace, he was senior director for system architecture with Broadwing Communications. Mr. Jones holds a BBA in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas, and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

He has built compilers and distributed systems for projects like the International Space Station, helped connect six countries to the Internet for the first time, and managed a $630m router product line at Cisco. Prior to VMware, Mathew was Senior Director at Symantec in its $1Bn+ information management group.

Jim Anthony is Vice-President of Sales Engineering at Verizon Terremark, where he leads a global team of highly technical System Architects, Security Specialists and Custom Engineers. His team is responsible for all configurations, solutions and proposals generated by the Company’s direct sales team and channel partners.

In addition to his responsibilities above, Anthony also spends considerable time evangelizing the company's enterprise-class cloud computing solutions at trade shows, and customer/channel events.

Prior to joining Terremark in 2009, he spent 20 years serving various management and consulting roles for technology companies - such as AT&T and Sybase. He has a diverse background managing large complex IT organizations and a deep technical knowledge of complex systems and applications.

Anthony earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Computer Science from Minnesota State University.

Ted is an Acting Vice President with Sears Holdings Corporation and is responsible for all Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain, Loyalty, Finance and HR systems within the company. Ted has been a leader in the adoption of Hadoop within the SHC enterprise and has extensive experience in evaluating, designing and integrating existing applications into the "Big Data" ecosystem. He and his team have been key in identifying the best methods for integration as well as evaluating the Hadoop toolset in determining the best approach for different applications of the technology. Ted has been with Sears Holdings for more than 10 years. Prior to Sears he spent 16 years in IT Consulting with firms such as Deloitte, Ernst & Young and Booz Allen.

Molly Rector joined Spectra Logic in 2004 and currently serves as the company's executive leader for product management and worldwide marketing. A key member of Spectra's executive leadership team, Molly helps define and execute the company's future product roadmap and overall corporate direction. In 2010, Molly's vision led to the formation of the Active Archive Alliance, a non-profit storage industry association, on which she represents one of nine vendor organizations and serves as the chairman of the board. She is also a member of the SNIA board of directors. Molly has delivered informational speeches at numerous industry events worldwide including IEEE Mass Storage, IP Expo UK, International Supercomputing (ISC), SNW USA and Europe, Storage Decisions and Supercomputing USA. Molly holds certifications as CommVault Certified System Administrator; Veritas Certified Data Protection Administrator; and Oracle Certified Enterprise DBA: Backup and Recovery. She earned a bachelor's of science degree in biology and chemistry.
